Videotape Auditions
If you are not able to audition in-person, you can submit a hi-fi VHS videocassette or DVD recording of your audition. CD recordings are not acceptable. Participants must perform one piece or one song from the standard repertoire. Each piece must be a minimum of 16 measures in length. Auditions must not exceed 5 minutes. Performers are required to perform from memory.
Due to overwhelming response, the AFAF has extended the videotape application deadline to March 1.
Special Requirements
• The recording must be on a high quality videocassette on the standard VHS format or a high quality DVD.
• The recording must be clearly labeled on the outside with your name
• The recording must be free of background noise with appropriate balance between solos and accompaniment.
• If you wish your recording returned, you must include a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
